The Logging Industry was the first application of on-vehicle weighing for Elphinstone in 1976. Now days every Elphinstone Logging Trailer and most other trailers manufactured have weighing systems installed as standard
                 
The most common loadcell used in logging is the 21/83-00460-xx cell. Proven over many years, these loadcells perform exceptionally well under the harsh conditions of a logging operation.
Due to increasing load limits in Australia, Elphinstone have designed a heavier duty loadcell for this enviroment. The 21/83-01460-xx loadcell is specifically designed for easy installation while giving high capacity, high accuracy performance and easier maintenance.
              D Model                                       Easyweigh®
Both the Elphinstone "D Model and "Easyweigh" indicators suit the logging industry well. They both feature simple operation and calibration. Both units have standard outputs for printer, remote display, limit set points and RS232/422 serial outputs for connection to most truck management computers.
The Easyweigh systems has the added benifits of up to three channel operation (B Double), allows trailers & trucks to be interchanged without calibration and features Radio Remote operation.
